‘Graphic Caution’ is a 136 page book featuring a number of interviews about graphic designers' first breaks and experiences in the design industry. The book is designed with a typographic led approach that runs throughout. Each of the designer’s sections is designed differently with some quite experimental approaches including projection, letterpress printing and photographing acrylic letters.
The book features 18 different designers, which were interviewed about their first ever commissioned project and examples of their more recent design work. The idea behind the book was to address the concern of finding that first design job. I had a genuine interest in how designers got their first job and what it involved.
The book is printed on 120gsm paper with a 170gsm matt laminated cover.
